Renter's Insurance
Peace of mind for your tenancy.

In case of fire or incidents within the building in which you rent, your landlord is not responsible for the cost of replacing your possessions! You need renter's insurance (often called tenant insurance) in order to protect your possessions in the event of fire. The landlord's insurance protects the building, but not the tenant's possessions within.

Tenant insurance covers your personal property and also provides you with liability protection in case you are held liable for damages occurring within your rental unit.

With Tenant insurance, improvements to your rental unit, such as upgraded carpet or built-in cabinets, are also covered, but only when the improvements have been done, or paid for, by the tenant (it is best that you discuss such improvements with your landlord and get approval before going ahead)

If you experience a loss which is covered by insurance, such as a fire, and you can't live in your rental unit while it is being repaired, Tenant insurance will provide you with a benefit to help pay your additional living expenses.

This insurance also provides coverage for your personal liability for the safety of others while they are in your rental unit. It also provides coverage for your personal liability if you accidentally cause damage to an adjoining unit.

Too often there has been fires in apartment buildings and the tenants are left with large financial losses because their possessions were not insured.

Let us work with you to provide the right kind of renter's insurance that would be best for you
